BERG...MUNTANYA...MOUNTAIN...

 

There are many nice places on this planet where you can enjoy the natural and cultural environment. However, mountains have this extra 3-dimentional property that make them so atractive  to us, or at least to me. "Mountain" is "Muntanya" in the Catalan language, and "Berg" in Dutch, my mother tongue. It is funny that one of these special places is Vall de Lillet in the upper part of the area called "Bergueda", in the Catalonian Pyrenees, linking so nicely the word "Berg" to the dominating landscape. The mountains that reach heights to about 1800m in the South and around 2500m in the North contain extend forests with a rich wildlife and vegetation. Large parts are protected and form part of the Cadi-Moixero Natural Park. Through time I have left my marks on the trails that I followed through this area. On this page I leave the trails marked for you, so hopefully you can enjoy them as I do.

Although it is almost impossible not the leave any mark on the places we pass, please try to minimize them, on behalf of nature and ourselves.
